GETTING FESTIVE**
Thursday, December 17, 2015
It's that time of year where, there are tons of office parties, family dinner parties and feting on a whole. So, what the heck do you wear! Firstly, think about being bold it's Christmas after all. A time to be cheerful and bright and giving... I say give a little with an eye catching outfit. Nothing says Christmas season more than a bright pop of colour. Greens & Reds have always been staples of the season. There's no rule that you need to wear a specific shade of red or green just choose the shade that goes best with your skin tone. For me I've never been a fan of red but I definitely prefer it to Green. I think Red says BOLD, DARING and CLASSIC. Its timeless and if done right screams sophistication.
I was looking for an outfit with a very mod vibe. This burgundy matching set was perfect! The mix of suede with satin creates the most unique flair. Ooh my Gosh, the ruffles on the top is so extravagant and intricate, definitely a conversation piece...
As you all know chokers are back! I have here a custom suede choker which I believe completes the look.
If you want to be the "Belle of the Ball" you wont go unnoticed wearing RED! My shade is burgundy. Whats yours?

"THE OLD SWITCHEROO"
Monday, October 19, 2015
... Let's face it, we all get bored with our outfits at some point. And that's why I've decided to pull the 'ol' switch-er-oo'. I wanted to do something different but to maintain my pizzazz. Honestly, having natural hair gets really tedious to handle and a wig is the perfect solution... It's the easiest way to refresh your style. OH MY! the endless possibilities, I might be thinking of a master plan...LoL
I paired a tank top dress with men's suit jacket and added the belt for structure and a bit of flare. The jacket was too boxy and masculine to not be belted. Also to soften the look I rolled the sleeves of the jacket to a point I thought was flattering to my physique. Its all about making those small changes to coordinate the perfect look...
Leopard print heels always makes a statement .
I seriously love this photo! These boys where passing and said miss can we take a picture with you? I'm like...Totally!! I think they thought I was famous or something. But one of the sweetest moments...

EDGY CHIC!
Monday, August 31, 2015
...For me anything leather and studded is considered edgy... Is that just me? Maybe :)... But I've come to realize that everyone's view is different and that's totally OK. We all have our own perceptions of what is considered casual, sexy or edgy. This has a lot to do with the way we perceive ourselves based on how we were socialized. We are socialized to gain a stance of what's deemed acceptable according to social settings. Of course, nowadays the internet and media has a tremendous influence on our perception especially in the fashion industry. However, our personality will dictate what we wear.
Here's what I wear and think is EDGY!
Here's what I wear and think is EDGY!
I love black & white together its just clean and crisp and you really can't go wrong. I didn't want to commit to a leather pants (considering Jamaica's hot climate) so I opted for this leather legging which I find quite sturdy. The dainty linen shirt softens the edgy hard look the leggings has creating the perfect ying & yang look. The studded heels adds that added spunk to the outfit.
For accessories the watch, the braided bracelet and rings all shades of silver
I'm not usually attracted to silver but this shoe was just love at first sight. Can you believe is from Forever21? Yassss!! Unfortunately its no longer available. :(

"SCARFING IT UP"
Wednesday, July 15, 2015
So...She's back on my blog!! I love working with her, she allows my creative juices to follow and she trusts me completely as a stylist. I styled and shot her for her upcoming blog that's focused on all things black history/Cultural studies. Initially, I had all sorts of ideas that would emanate her interests in Ethnocentrism but when I opened her closet all I saw was this SCARF!, the outfit immediately came together in my head. It has a beautiful geometric pattern, that I felt was reminiscent of an item you would find in Africa. Immediately, I started playing with the scarf to turn it into a top and created the outfit, makeup and hair to compliment the scarf.
Here's what we came up with!
The scarf was the statement piece of this outfit, everything else was kept relatively simple.
Her jewelry collection is insane!!! Very vintage but some how modern if you get what I mean.
We kept it simple using a statement clip-on blue & gold earring and a brass cuff bracelet.
